We practice from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) perspective. We believe what a person thinks determines the way a person feels which then determines the way a person acts. Counseling will focus on identifying irrational thinking that leads to negative feelings. Changing our irrational thinking to more rational thoughts will encourage positive feelings. Additionally, tools for coping will be identified. Exploration may be used as well to help identify core issues that are at the heart of a person's presenting concern.
We are passionate about providing counseling to individuals and families. We believe it is a calling and I will do my best to help individuals through their life challenges. Counseling is a team process-as long as you are willing to work hard, We will work just as much to help you and guide you through your struggles.
Individual and family counseling are offered for a variety of mental health needs including depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, bi-polar, ADHD, grief, and life transitions. Each of these are some of the most common and uncomfortable experiences we can have at some point in our lives. Through counseling we will be able to help you recover your motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
